House Show Reports This Week
23/1 – Glasgow
Kurt Angle beat Desmond Wolfe and Daniels in a three-way match. This was easily the match of the night. Angle won after all three men hit their respective finishers

26/1 – Bournemouth
Hernandez and Kurt Angle defeated Team 3D and Beer Money and The British Invasion in a four-way tag match. Everyone apart from British Invasion received loud cheers. Hernandez came out and said “As you all know my partner Matt Morgan can’t be here tonight” (we didn’t know!) so I’ve found a new partner… Kurt Angles music hit, very loud pop. This was a good four-corner tag match, Angle is great to watch live, which makes it even more disappointing that he was thrown into this match rather than his advertised “I Quit” match against Samoa Joe (who was originally facing Bobby Lashley).
After the match Big Rob (who’d been subjected to Big Rob Sucks and Rob Can’t Wrestle chants all through the match) laid out Team 3D, and set up a table, only to be put through it himself. Team 3D got two little kids out of the audience and signed them each a piece of table and celebrated with Beer Money in the ring, which was one of the cooler parts of the show, made it all feel more intimate, you don’t get stuff like that with WWE.

27/1 – Cardiff
Kurt Angle & Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) beat TNA tag champion Hernandez & The Pope & Rhino in a Tables match. It was brilliant how they introduced Kurt. Team 3D did their entrance and they said they found a partner. They talked up their partner as “some young guy with a lot of potential who we may or may not have heard of,” which kept the audience guessing. After about five minutes, the lights went off, there was a 10-second pause, and Angle’s music hit to a big pop. The crowd kept chanting, “We want tables,” so Angle got on the mic and said, Wwell the fans don’t want an ordinary match, so lets give them what they want!” At the end, Rhino took an Olympic slam through the table.

28/1 – Coventry
TNA tag champion Hernandez & Kurt Angle beat Rhino & Daniels. Hernandez started with the mic by saying that the match was scheduled to be a tag title match, however Matt Morgan was unwell and not at the arena, but he had found a replacement partner. The lights went down and Angle’s music started up. The crowd popped big time, biggest pop of the night. Hernandez started in the ring against Daniels and the crowd was still going mad for Angle, chanting his name. Angle was visibly emotional and overwhelmed by the crowd reaction. He was on the ring apron smiling and looking overwhelmed. The crowd chanted, “We want Angle,” as Hernandez and Daniels fought in the ring. Hernandez gave in and tagged in Angle to a huge pop. He eventually got the anklelock and finished with the Olympic Slam for the win. The crowd was still chanting after the match and he slowly made his way backstage. The best match of the night.

29/1 – Manchester
Kurt Angle beat Desmond Wolfe in a very solid match. Angle was extremely over, but there were Wolfe chants also. Great promo from Wolfe before the match, but being a big fan, my opinion may be a tad biased. Again, I would have liked more time, but I could watch these guys wrestle all night
